B.A. in Psychology from University of Pennsylvania (overall GPA 3.3, major GPA 3.6); Teacher's Certificate Math 5-12 from Fairmont State University; currently working on M.A. in Math Education at West Virginia University (completed 2 semesters and have 2 semesters left God willing).
Experience
tutored Geometry, Algebra, and Pre-Calculus for 1 year at the Achievement Academy in Fairmont, WV; taught 2 sections of College Algebra at West Virginia University for 1 semester; taught pre-Algebra to adults for 3 years at International Academy of Design & Technology in Fairmont, WV (2002-2005) scored 1410 on SAT with 770/800 on Math; scored 32/36 on ACT with 36/36 on Math; scored 780/800 on Math II Achievement Test. I think tutoring students in Math will help me become a better teacher and I feel that because I have been gifted with understanding high school level Math quite well, I should help those who struggle with it. I began my study of Algebra in 7th grade and Geometry in 8th grade. I have taken through Calculus III, although I must admit I don't feel as comfortable with Calculus as I do Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus.
